About Hugame
The other weekend, I decided to teach my 8yo son and 6yo daughter to create games with Codex. I wanted to lure them into learning Python, while also guiding them to use AI responsibly before they dive in all by themselves.
My kids are soon absorbed in their own creation, they are excited, to be more precisely, thrilled to design, talk about, and play their games.
Then my son asked me repeatedly: Can I share my games with my friends?
I noticed that ChatGPT has Sites and Claude has Artifacts, where you can share your static pages with other people. But my son wanted more, he wanted a leaderboard to see how good his friends can play. He also wanted other people to pay for “skins” in his games so he can have enough money to buy skins in Minecraft. :P
Clearly, all that needs a backend, and I also had a few ideas I wanted to bring to life. So I built this site.
Here are our games, we used AI to translate our logic from words to code, but we did draw most of the artwork by hand.
- My son’s
- My daughter’s
- Mine, mostly for testing
You can find all the games on the Games page.
By the way, you can upload your own games, too.
